CREATIVE CASTING WORKSHOPS
Come and learn a new creative skill with me at one of my small and relaxed workshops. The workshops take place at my beautiful studio in Thame, it's the perfect setting to catch up with a friend or two whilst learning new skills and creating something beautiful you will be proud of. The workshops are fun and super relaxed, It’s the perfect way to spend a few hours making something truly unique that you get to take home and enjoy at the end of the session.

Jesmonite metallics and marbling workshop
Create your own oval trinket tray or a set of two matching Jesmonite coasters to take home with you. Use metal leaf to add beautiful detail to your design and learn the art of marbling with Jesmonite.
The workshops are small with a maximum of 4 people so I have plenty of time to demonstrate, give advice and help you with your creations.
Learn the art of colouring, mixing and casting with Jesmonite, a water-based solvent free resin. Jesmonite has no VOC’s making it safe to use and environmentally friendly.
The design possibilities are endless so you really will end up with a unique trinket tray or set of coasters to enjoy in your home or to gift.
During the creative casting workshop you will learn how to:
Work with pigments to create your own bespoke base colour for your tray or coasters.
Use metal leaf to incorporate into your design.
Mix and cast Jesmonite into silicone moulds
Sand to tidy the bases of your creations
Seal the coasters or tray and add cork pads to the bases to give that professional finish

Jesmonite Terrazzo Coaster Making workshop

Create terrazzo chips to incorporate into your design or select from my array of ready made chips in a variety of colours. The design possibilities are endless so you really will end up with a unique set of coasters to enjoy in your home or they also make an excellent gift.
During the creative casting workshop you will learn how to:
Work with pigments to create your own bespoke base colour for your coasters
Create some Terrazzo chips or use the pre-made chips provided for your design
Mix and cast Jesmonite into silicone moulds
Sand and polish your coasters (please note there is quite a bit of sanding with this particular workshop)
Seal the coasters and add cork pads to the bases to give that professional finish

Learn the art of colouring, mixing and casting with Jesmonite, a water-based solvent free resin. Jesmonite has no VOC’s making it safe to use and environmentally friendly.
The design possibilities are endless so you really will end up with a unique trinket tray to enjoy in your home or they also make an excellent gift.
During the creative casting workshop you will learn how to:
Work with pigments to create your own bespoke colours for your trinket tray.
Use various techniques to layer the Jesmonite into the mould to create your design, these include pouring, slashing and dripping.
Mix and cast Jesmonite into silicone moulds in two parts to achieve your design.
Tidy your cast trays and lightly sand the bases
Seal the trays for protection
